Not quite. Try again.
Amy and Keith have the passphrase. If you need it again, email chris@innovativedesign.us.
How we’d share the brand platform with the team. A short readout of the words, then one exercise the team runs, so the words become theirs rather than something they were sent.
Twenty minutes on the words, twenty minutes the team runs, and a few minutes either side.
Amy and Keith open. Innovative Group frames the session.
We walk the team through the brand platform page on the portal, on screen: belief, positioning, mission, and what we stand for. Everyone gets the link afterward so they can come back to it.
Teach the fill-in format for the elevator pitch, plus the clients and buyers intro if you add it. See section 02.
Pick one option from section 03. This is the part the team runs.
A few volunteers, quick reactions.
What happens with the content, and what is coming next.
Everyone does the elevator pitch. The question is whether to add the clients and buyers intro as well. It’s worth adding if you think it would help the team prepare for interviews and client meetings, where each person fills in project types that match the client in front of them.
Everyone fills in the pitch with a project of their own.
“We design the outdoor spaces you never think about. If you don’t want to leave, we did our job. For instance, [your project].”
After the pitch, everyone does the opening of the spoken intro from the brand platform, with two project types of their own.
“Thank you for having us. Cupples Keller Designs is a woman-owned landscape architecture firm based in Oakland, and our studio has designed public outdoor spaces since 1988, including [two project types that match this client]. We like to join the project early, so the site, the budget, and the community’s needs shape the design from the start, and we stay with it through completion.”
Once you choose A or A plus B, we’ll build a one-page exercise template to match. The team gets it a few days before the session, so everyone comes with their project in mind.
From low pressure to more active. Every option works with A or A plus B.
Run the round robin live so everyone speaks without pressure, and set “record later” as the takeaway. You get the whole team talking and still build the content bank for social and LinkedIn.
A, the elevator pitch on its own, or A plus B, the pitch and the clients and buyers intro. We’ll build the exercise template to match.
Low pressure, medium, or more active. Our recommendation is above, and we’re happy to go with whatever suits the team.
